Our friends & network comrades at Radical Action for Mountain
People’s Survival (RAMPS) is in the process of buying a campaign house in
the Coal River Valley (actually on Coal River Mountain itself.)
They are scrambling to raise $30k for the purchase and already have $10k
(and counting).
For years, while most folks have sat around and talked about ending
mountaintop removal, clicked online petitions and lobbied politicians,
RAMPS has locked down on mine sites, put up tree sits and organized
pickets and mass marches.
